This saturday we are putting our 4-h trail ride 3rd annual.
The kids have been working really hard, I sure hope they get a good turn out.
The money they make goes to the entry fees for their competitions.
I sure enjoy watching those kids work and play together as a team and having a great time.

A little bit of lick is better than no lick at all. Wink

Seriously, Team1roper, I hope you have a successful trail ride for the 4-H group. Like they say, the outside of a horse is good for the inside of a kid.

Even though we get lots of saddle time with just regular ranching, my wife and I have gone on a few trail rides through the years and they are always a fun deal.

Good luck.

Sounds like a real enjoyable way to have a fundraiser. Wish we had more kids in our 4H that had horses and could participate in a deal like that.

Cool, glad everthang went smooth and a good time was had by all.
I might suggest a trail ride to our 4-H Horse comittee advisor for the county. There's enuff kids that have horses county wide for somethin like that to work, but our lil small club here there's not but 2 that have horses.

Lilly
out of all the fund raisers the 4-h has I think we have the most fun at the trail ride.
it is pretty much the whole community getting together and having a big BBQ with some horses.
we have 3 different prices at our 4-h
riders, hay wagon and those hat just come to sit around the community center and bs and buy a bbq plate at supper time.
the silent auction has turned into so many friendly competitions
one which was
the kids had small square bales of coastal donated, went for 20 dollars a piece but all after some prodding and teasing .

Glad it was a success! How much are ya gonna get to put in el banko?

Our fundraises the end of April made our club just over $500.....not bad for a sparsly populated area like we have here.

We get around 1000
some years there is more sometimes less but we always have a great time.
the money pays the kids entry fees for their 4-h activities
