| Took the kids fishing this morning-they had a blast and caught a couple hammer handles-little northern pike-Ty just breaded them in flour and lemon pepper and then fried them in butter-pretty good stuff. The best part is he fillets his own fish lol. One of those little buggers had a perch inside it over half as long as it was-quite the predators-no wonder those 20 pounders scare the spear fisherman.

| Do you fish at Meadow Lake? My brother-in-law grew up on the Army base at Cold Lake..and goes from there to Meadow lake every year to fish. I love fish but fav. is ice fished white fish,gregs not much of a fisherman and around here because of the power plant they're called Battle river slough skarks{Jack}

| We were fishing on the Beaver River this morning but we sometimes fish the Meadow River running into the lake. Jacks are pretty good if you eat them fresh-were lucky there's good fishing everywhere up here. I don't mind whitefish soup-fresh pickeral still pretty tough to beat. My kids are crazy about fishing I don't take them near enough that's for sure.
