When you mentoned Sun River MT I looked it up as I had never heard of it. to my surprise it was near Simms home of Dears of the Birdtail ranch. that is where our first QH stud Bear Trap son of Bear Cat came from in 1961. We stopped in their in 67 or 68.
I noticed that it wasn't far from Cascade where when we couldn't get a motel room it Great Falls we went on to Cascade and were very happy to get a room.
