Oak River Fair - Light horse show

Oak River fair Light horse show was very successful! Although entries were down due to high fuel and traveling costs there was a descent turn out. Most entries were in the western pleasure, halter, basic seat, Equitation and Jack Benny classes. Lots of ponies too. The costume classes were great! I will post a few pictures later on.

We even had the pleasure of having a few good neighbors from the south up here showing from the Minot area. These ladies hadn't shown for a while and decided to come up here to see how there horses compared. One of the ladies was placing fairly regular.

All in all it was a great 2 day event that brought a lot of good people and a lot of good horses and cattle. I hope that we can continue to have good turnouts for these special local events and that this is not a dying tradition.
