Here bouts in one breeding season a TB Stud “Silky Sullivan” Picked up his 6’4” handler and through him in the corned, braking his shoulder.

I was asked to finish the season for him.

I have a piece of broom handle about 2” longer that my hand is wide, rounded and smooth on the ends with a chain and snap that I keep it on my belt loop.
This has saved my Fist many a time!

I have it ready when I enter a stall - - I Expect a horse to turn and Face Me when I enter the stall

I often ware a Nail Apron on my back side with Horse treats for that good horse that I find most horse are when they learn who’s boss. When they get to know the Cowboy Me!

Hey Roper,
Yup, I have worked with her and her mom Edie (Edith) Leslie basically started me out when I was 16. Seafox is the very first stallion I got to groom. Too bad more studs arent as well mannered as him. She sure was sad to see Marky go... As per the norm our best has headed to the states......

Just thought I would clarify that I havent worked with her since she came back from Germany. She is WAY to busy with her dressage and students. I spend more time with Jen Rosin now from De Novo training...

Im 6foot 4" and over 200lbs. I had what I thought to be a gentle gelding pick me up by my shoulder with his teeth. He picked me up like I was a feather and kind of flung me to the side.
Luckily it was winter and I had a thick jacket on so he didnt actually bite me. It was my jacket he grabbed. To bad I was still in the jacket Laughing

That would be so awesome to spend the day riding with her as a coach.
Yes it sucks the way everything goes south. Look at show jumping. The US riders will buy them even if they never plan on using them just so they wont have to compete against the horse in the future. Haha Well maybe its not that bad but its close. Haha Look at Bezi Madden <spelling?> What does she have something like over a dozen olympic horses in her string? Maybe more by now?
I think Germany has the right idea and if we are ever going to compete we should be doing the same.
Look at bucking horses. Its no accident that Alberta has the best rough stock.

Actually having her for a coach is really hard. She can say things by not saying them and you end up in tears. (Yes I have ended up in tears!!!!, that is next to impossible to do) She is an amazing rider though and you learn alot. She truely is one of the most gifted riders I have ever seen!

The local paper interviewed one of the outriders-he was running after a wagon when a lead horse threw a shoe and got him in the chops. I bet that left a mark.
