Isn't it exciting watching veggies burst into productive mode!? Your beautiful garden is proof you aren't just playing in the mud, Hanta.
What do you do with all the luffas when they arrive?

Bad news, one of the watermelons and one of the honey dews met their fate due to my own two hands. Terrible tragedy as I watched them dripping juice onto the kitchen floor. If only they could have lived out the rest of their natural lives quietly undisturbed in their garden of weedin, and lived on to replicate their own kind. NOT. man they are good, especially for breakfast. Wink

Geez sw I thought you were going to tell us that there was to much gardening and not enough cooking. Wink Hope the flys don't buzz around the front of your shirt where all that juice dripped. Laughing Laughing

nr, those luffas seem to be nothing but vine, her plan is to make up a bunch of sponges, you peel them and dry them i guess.
Katrina, Crenshaws are green melons that are orange on the inside and are alot like cantelope only more flavor. they get about 4-5 pounds big. We were told they are difficult to grow, they grow really good for us, they are just about ripe as are the cantelope. Once you have eaten vine ripened stuff, that junk in the store isn't very good at all. honeydews especially, better go change my shirt, that watermelon is really juicy.

They get pretty big (supposedly) when they are ripe, pick 'em and peel 'em and let them dry. They become luffa sponges. You can also eat them before they are mature... Say what? don't know if I would want to Confused

It's nice to have all the plants take over like that, less weeding Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
