Redneck dog house

A tunnel under the wooden sidewalk

It was an obstacle in the dark

The new improved warmer version, complete with an electric warming pad

Puppies born five days ago

Soap, Bless your heart..... How kind of you to get a new house for Scarlett and her babies... They are really nice looking puppies... Just get a little kid to pack them around at the sale barn and they will have homes in no time... If you need a kid let me know, #2 would do it and he doesn't know a stranger....

Soaps a softy just like my wife... Wink Very Happy We still have 2 of the Border Collie pups left we haven't sold- they are 7 weeks old and have been penned in the kennel, which has a nice dog house... But when this cold wintry weather was predicted Grandma bought one of those dog heating pads too...Covers about 3/4 of the floor of the dog house and is supposed to keep at a constant 102 degrees....

Funny to watch those pups out playing in the snow-- yesterday I had to shovel about a 3 foot deep drift away to get in the kennel...

Mrs. Greg if I paid $1600 for a daschound I might have to live at your place. I'm a great collector of useless animal artifacts much to my wifes chagrine lol.

It's probably the "quality" of them as I have seen 1200 dollar ones around here Lilly. I have also seen 250 dollar ones.. IT is kind of like Labs. They run the gamit of free to a good home to 1000 dollar pups.. I have a hard time spending that type of coin on a dog. We have some Kelpies that I spent way to muc money on but they were trained so it was a bit different than a 7 week old puppy. Heck, when I bought my Anatolion crosses I thought I wondered if I was spending too much but they were still only a couple hundred bucks or so.

NOt a huge dachs fan but I am a big dog person and not a little dog person.

the high end of the mini wieners down here is 5 to 6 hundred.....and I've seen some of those pups, and wasn't impressed at all. I have two.....that are registered. The male cost $300...and the only reason he was bought is because Mr Lilly bought him for me for our 20th weddin anniversary. I bout fell over when he told me how much he cost. My female only cost me $150 (normally females go higher than males)

some of the higher dollar one's I've seen, the puppies look malnurished, and aren't built right. Not sayin all are like that but I've seen enuff of them to know that I won't be buyin from those breeders. I think alot of them think that just because they are papered, or that they have color, that they are worth what they are askin. I'm real picky when it comes to pickin a pup out...of any kind. whether it's a wiener dog, border collie, or a heeler. I wanna spend some time with them and watch them to see how they act, and what their personality is like. Same goes for sendin a puppy home with someone. I wanna know what kinda person is gettin a pup. I won't send one home with just anyone that has the money to pay for it. Also if they have kids, I want the kids present when they are pickin a pup......if the kids don't know how to handle a pup.....then they don't get one.
