Yeah, the problem is the Quality is often in the eye of the beholder.. Most show type animals, something just doesn't seem right to me when I see them. I am not saying they are bad or anything but I for one know that I am not going to show so if the pattern on a coat is a bit off or if they are going to be to husky for a breed or something like that I really don't care. I want the critter to be healtthy, intelligent and have a bit of personality. I don't think that is asking too much...

My mom was dog searching last year or year before and she had the choice between "show" and companion quality animals at a couple breeders. I think the price difference was 250-300 dollars + you had to show the show animals. No thanks... 4 of the dogs we have on total cost 150 dollars. That is all 4. Two were free and the other two were shelter dogs that we had to pay for their neutering...

Soap, good luck with those pups... Sometimes those strange mixes work out the best... Guessing they are going to be interestting looking if nothign else.

Such cute puppies Soapweed...you must be proud... Smile I just got hubby's dog a new outdoor kennel...all nice and insulated for when she might have to stay outside in the cold..lol Well I trained her to get in it when I tell her to, but she absolutly won't use it on her own. These last few nites and been in the single digits..and she lays on the cold ole cement step at the back door. I've fed her in there...put snacks in there...and she'll go eat and leave. Frustrating!...actually the cats probably would like it if they could figure out how to get the door to work...lol Oh well.

Who is the father? I thought Scarlet was way past pup-rearing age.

Do you deliver-I need a new puppy after we lost Angus-it might be a fun trip.

I could meet you in Martin, or maybe even in Kadoka. Smile

Our oldest son's blue heeler, Ringo, is the proud papa. Scarlett is only four years old. She's a good dog. I hope the pups take after her. The only time she ever chases cattle is when Ringo is here visiting, and he tends to lead her astray in more ways than one. Wink
