The Coyote Calling Contest is set for January 12-13-14.
This year a $2000 purse is being added.
Rules and entry forms can be found at www.bakermt.com

Click on What's new, then click on Coyote Calling Contest.
The information should all be there.

Well I waddled out in snow up to my waist today-and yes there was more than 18 inches of snow lol. Couldn't yelp up a dog but it was nice out there-nothing like a winter sun on fresh snow. That would be a fun deal to hang out at-I'd bring in my hunting buddy from Assinaboia he's a dog assassin-9 in one day this fall.

Is it going to work this year, FH?

Didn't they cancel it or have some trouble last year?

Yes, it will work. We didn't bow to the pressures that were put on
the contest last year. Neither did the Chamber of Commerce.
If anything, last year's publicity made for more interest this year.

I had a call from a man in Alberta wanting to know about it.
5 teams are coming from the western part of the state that we
know of plus many from out-of-state.

However, that being said, because of time issues, I have had
to bow out from the contest (advisory capacity only, ha!ha!).
Things are being run the same way
as we implemented, plus they are planning on holding a gun
raffle this year. Nice that there is something new for the guys
to look foreward to when they come that far.
