So, I was out feeding yesterday, minding my own business when I see a little white spot in the middle of a field... One of the wife's ewes had decided to lamb,, NO real surprise although they should be done now for a while as I swear I pulled the rams...

But as I am out there checking on the mom and stuff I catch a cow who is not with the rest of the herd eating.. Little Dexter heifer, can't be more than 19-20 months old, has looked like crap all winter no mater how much feed she has gotten. Wormed her, all sorts of stuff. Probably need to pull her and ship her as she is not thrifty.. Well... There she is, licking a spanking new Bull calf that is about the size of one of the Corgi's so many of you guys have... Ahhhh... No wonder she seamed a bit pot bellied... No wonder... I didn't think she was with a bull, need to check my records for where she was and with whoom... Oh well, beef. So, I am hoping there isn't another surprise as there were two other heifers with her.. And to think, I thought I would have no winter calving.

Hey JB... I got another one to toss on the trailer for you now... Hmm.. Pretty sure that trailer is going to be filled with little cows/bulls/steers I don't want... You have that horse you don't want lined up?
