My EXT bred cattle are the calmest and best.

The EXT ' legend' is just that pure legend that is unfair.

If you look hard enough at any well known bull you'll find some crazies from his loins.

If it were me and I liked the bull I'd not pay any attention to the EXT legend but then if your ' gut' tells you he won't work for you, then there must be a reason your ' gut' is talking to you.

I agree kolanuraven, I love my EXT mommas. I don't know why NR has had so much trouble unless he is using that extreme ai procedure on all of them.

talking to people I trust in cattle the EXT thing is no myth... For the most part around here the EXT bloodlines are the favored for calving ease and stuch but when Ihave tlaked to folks out west they all get kind of a look in their eye when you say EXT.... They think they are down right looney, even if they are nice looking cattle.

We only had a dozen maybe here that I know for sure had EXT in the background (AI calves out of Emulation EXT) and 50% of them were just down right batty, high headed calves while their mommas were calm.. Too small of a sample, I know but it was enough to convicne me that there might be something to it...

The legendary nuts bull around here however is Lucy Boy... I had a group of calves out of some of his sons and they were fine but the bulls we had... I didn't like going into that pasture.. We got rid of them fast because my legs don't move as fast as they once did.

We just sort the EXT's off usually and run them with a bull not worth the bother to A'I' them. I get to work with alot of cattle on alot of different outfits-EXT disposition is no myth. Maybe a few on a chop pail outfit might be fine or turn them out and forget them. If he gets far enough down the pedigree that he falls off the paper-'MAYBE'. Like I said there's a bunch here for sale if anybody wants them-the worst have been culled or put in the rodeo herd.
