| How deep is the water in your country. I guess more importantly, how deep is it compared to ten years ago?

This well was 67 feet. Even though the level of our surface water has dropped, we haven't yet noticed any problems with underground water.

| You know what I found really interesting. When we had our well pulled and a new pump put on it a month or so ago. The pump was 50 ft below the water......the water is higher now than when the well was dug. Well was dug in 1983. And that's with two years of drought.....

| The ground water situation down here by Dodge City, Kansas is pretty scary. I don't really have any hard figures but I've heard numerous times that well's are about half the capacity that they were 5-10 years ago and getting worse every year.

our part of Kansas has caused a cease to well drilling in Nebraska. so we are pretty well hated by our northern neighbors right now.
Last year, with the release of water from Harlan County, they shut off river irrigators in Nebraska on the Republican.....we still only got 4 inches delivered....but we got to pay taxes on 16!
this water deal is getting serious. I can not understand these guys putting up pivots on canal water, with no guarantee of getting the water. if you have a well, it pays...but to invest $50,000 and HOPE you get a shot of water is foolish!

Are those Australian shephards?
They look like my old Australian except for a docked tail.

The pups' mother is half German Shepherd and half Rottweiler. Their dad is Blue Heeler. With their diverse pedigree, they should be adaptable and talented for any purpose needed.
