This is a classic example of it-the so called 'manager' of this outfit won't throw a rodeo bull in with some cows to get him out of his hair next April. Wife just poured on about 15 minutes of common sense to make sure it doesn't happen. Looks like he's destined to be a bottle baby as the big plows to reach the cows are two days away. Thought we'd finally got done with the out of season BSE calves but guess not.

The Hairdryer market would crash without our BSE COWS Surprised Surprised Bought some bred cows before Christmas with a #2 on there back. Thought that ment 2nd trimester but I guess it ment 2 weeks. Those Black calves really showed up good in white snow Exclamation

I really like the herdsman (oops gal) that you've got there. She looks like she is made of the real stuff (not fluff). Hope it gets better from here on out.

Well he's got a couple quarts of colostrum in him and is banging around the porch like there's no tomorrow-guess we'll try reuniting him tomorrow if the plow shows up.

Ahh the tried and true blow dryer method.. I have done that a few times... We tend to use blankets instead of sleeping bags however...

Neighbor had one last night 3 weeks early for him if not 4... Full coat of hair but mr calf is in the shop being heated and stuff. At least he is up on his chest, that is half the battle. Now if they can get him back on mom that will be the true test. Might be a waste of time unless he waits till Monday which will probably be too late. .. I'm sure he got the cow in a pen waiting for the callf.. I know they wanted to know how much I would rent my skid out to them t clean pens..
