Haymaker...you could always throw a chain and padlock on the gates, hook it to your truck and just drag your place on over here next to mine.....I've got a neighbor I don't particularly care for...park your place right there on top of him.... Very Happy and you can have all the rain you want this time of year.

Well if me and you got into a neighbor tradin contest, you would lose big time,I have got some doozies along my west fence line..........good luck

I'm fairly happy with the folks joinin fences with us. Except for that one. He's a lawyer. Has a nice herd of black cows....but doesn't understand the "neighborly" things to do when you have joinin fences...it's just beyond him i guess....so I have as little dealin with him as possible. If the fence is down..or damaged because of a downed tree, we don't call him to help repair.....we just do it ourselves...its easier that way. We've had his bulls on our side before....he even acts offended when you call to let him know. So....what do you do?

I think I'd rather have our -40 temps than that much moisture--I can always throw another log on the fire or put on another layer of clothes- but I can't swim..... Rolling Eyes

We can certainly use more moisture here.Lake Superior is at its lowest level in 80 years. In the last 6 months we haven't had 6 inches of moisture and our normal is 40 inches a year.

Fencing problems. Take a look at your State fencing laws.

LOL Oldtimer.......I can't swim either! That's why when it does this I steer clear of the water.

One good thang about it tho....when it does this....most times it's gone down in a day or two.

Gosh with all that rain do your critters grow web feet?? Laughing We too would love that much rain...these ole sandhills would soak it all up like a sponge and by the next day, you wouldn't hardly know it! Your feedbunks must be very well put together and sealed good if they hold water...it's standard around here to drill a few holes for water...don't do much good though for snow...guess ya need bigger holes! lol

Those feed bunks are some that we got from a local rancher that had thrown them in the burn pile a few months ago. He had 4 of them that were originally built in the 50s by some FFA kids. They had the roof on em back then, this past summer they more or less fell to peices except for the bunk itself...I seen them one day when we were visitin him and asked him if he was just gonna burn em up. He said yes, unless of course I wanted them. I jumped on em. They've been used all these years for mineral and salt....I assume that's why they are so water tight now. The wood still looks brand new almost. And HEAVY!!!!! oh man...was everthang me and Mr Lilly could do to get em loaded and moved.

That sure is a batch of rain jersey lilly. I would take it too if our ground was thawed out. It wouldn't cause us so many problems, but those down river might complain. Water doesn't stand here too long.

I hope it does you some good. You always want to take rain when you can get it.

Thanks for posting the pictures.

That's the sad part about rain this time of year. Our ground is saturated, has been now for a few weeks. All the rain we are gettin now aint doin a bit of good...Tanks are full...grounds soaked all the way thru...all it does is make a mess of things. Sure would like to put this stuff on a timer so it could fall in June....July...August...when we really need it. I'm not gonna complain tho..last year this time we weren't havin any rain at all to speak of...made for a really tuff start come spring.....At least now...we do know that the grass will be ready to go when the warm temps come back.
