I think Montana can now field a team of 15 --Next year it goes up to 16- then to 18 I think.. This way you can have more than 1 at a weight class...Not sure how they set up the weights for the regular matches-- but like you say it sure is good for the tournaments when you have 2 kids from the same town that are tops in the same weight...
All I know is that its a program being put in to stop these kids from having to do so much starving and dieting to make a lighter weight to make the team-- which I have always thought was very unhealthy for growing kids right during the time period they need all the nutrition they can get for growing bones, muscles and minds.....

I am glad they add more weights to get more kids involved, but I would think that there would be some slim pickins at some weights then.
You know I like all sports but something about wrestling is different.................can't explain it unless you are a wrestling parent.
Is anyone going to the NCAA DII national championships in Kearney in a few weeks?

| Not that I'm aware of...... We have a kid who is wrestling for a college in North Platte, but don't know if he is wrestling varsity..... At homecoming he was behind a big stud, so wouldn't be wrestling...... I'll keep my ears open.......
