Katrina, is that VAlentine district?
My wife just had a baby, and there were some serious difficulties. Everythig looks all good now, but we had some real concerns. She wanted to seek specialists back in Wichita Kansas near where we're from. So my kids have missed 20 days of school. My kids have done every scrap of work - just not at school. THey've threatened to flunk my kids and prosecute me. I'm going to offer to homeschool my kids to accomodate their abscenses (read deprive funding). My kids are at the top of their classes, as pronounced by their teachers, and they're going to fail. I heard through the small town grapevine the school was really miffed when my kids missed the "Bush tests." This proud papa thinks they wanted my kids in the data to pull up the average. They seem to forget, the parent is the primary educator of the child.
By the way, the Mrs Theiss that said "blame Bush" is otherwise a demanding and excellent teacher.
My kids already finked out some kids for gang signing. They told their momma and she rode her broom straight to town and eared down the Principal.

Nope...... Rosebud rez..........
I can say nothing but good things about the Valentine High School and really appreciate the fine teachers who teach there...... And the kids who except the country kids, they all come into school and are well recieved.. Some mighty fine parenting going on in heart city.....

Brad,
I'm certainly no expert on this subject, but from what I understand(I think) it's a state law in nebraska and channels have to be followed... I'm sure if you go down to the school and explain the situation nothing will come of it... Talk to the teachers and principle, I would be really surprised if anything was to it. With so many delinquant parents,(rez) and I damn sure don't mean you, it's a pretty standard thing....... I can't believe they would not understand your situation...
Any teacher would want a bright straight a student in there class.... Take it as a complament...Maybe just relax alittle bit and remember gossip is just that gossip.......
