I diddn't think of posting it until one of the boys reminded me. lol.
I had a grand total of 69 shots on goal, the final score was 8-7 for us. We gave some of our better players to them, don't know why, but we did. We played like it was Game 7 of the stanley cup finals, one of our defence played with a broken arm, and we had a major sprian (he's a trouble maker, dfoc said he shouldn't do anything with it for a while, so much for that lol) so we bandaged him up.
The three stars of the game was as follows.
3)Bobby (Their little goalie {30 shots, 8 goals allowed})
2)Cameron (5 goals)
1)Me, coach said he has never seen a big guy move that quick, and especailly with NO defence, he said I did really good. The local A Bantam coach wants me to sign up next year, I can't, gotta chase the girls lol.
Thanks for the tips y'all.

Well, two problems with that.
A) I dont have the money to do it.
B) I have never played organized hockey.
I would like to, but I just don't think i can commit four or five nights a week to hockey, and i really don't think i could handle it.
Cute? Well that's REALLY masculine lol. j/k.
Judith, we're all dying, we have to enjoy every possible second of our life.

Angus how much does it cost? Aren't you getting a job to buy a sled? I am guessing hockey can't be more than the cost of the sled, but could be wrong. If you really want to play, I bet the $$$ shows up. When you're driven you can save $$$, you know?
B) I have never played organized hockey.
There is no time like the present to start doing something. If you have drive and desire, and combine that with hardwork, anything can be accomplished. Do you have those three? If so, get your butt in gear and get to playing. If you don't, don't whine!

ACS, I hate to tell you this, but if you can't commit 4 or 5 nights a week to something, what are you going to do when you're older, and have so many more commitments to keep up? I hate to say this, but life does not get simpler or easier as you get older. If you start "stepping up" now, "stepping up" later will be easier for you to accomplish. Besides, once you start and commit to practice, I bet you'll really enjoy it and the structure and discipline that come with it.
Judith, we're all dying, we have to enjoy every possible second of our life.
This is true, so get your butt a moving! As Judith says, "Don't just stand there blinkin your eyes like a toad in a hail storm." Get 'er done ACS! |
Cheers---

| When opportunity knocks ACS, you really should open the door, I find it now that the mistakes I regret most in life are not the mistakes I made in doing something but the ones I made in not doing something.

| Some guys play hockey some guys go to concerts in Saskatoon and holidays in the mountains. I got a kid didn't start skating till Bantam and he's going to push for the backup job on our AA Midget team. Try out or you'll just be another shouda-couda-wouda 40 year old railbird hanging out at the rink. Single A hockey isn't all that expensive and in AA the teams do alot of fundraising. But if your happy playing rec hockey that's fine too anytime there's ice under your blades it's all good. There's sacrifices to be made when you progress to the next level in sport or life.
