Looks like Montana and the Dakotas could be in for a lively day and night too...I hate that when they all start talking about Supercell development and Supercell Thunderstorms....
-------------------------------------
.SHORT TERM...FOR NORTHEAST MONTANA...TODAY THROUGH MONDAY...
VERY ACTIVE WEATHER IN STORE FOR NORTHEASTERN MONTANA THIS
AFTERNOON INTO TONIGHT. A STRONG SHORTWAVE TROUGH AND A DEVELOPING
SURFACE LOW PRESSURE AREA WILL SERVE AS THE FOCUSING MECHANISM FOR
THE EVENT. SOUTHEAST WINDS AHEAD OF THE APPROACHING THROUGH WILL
USHER IN AMPLE MOISTURE...BUT WILL ALSO SERVE TO CAP MUCH OF THE
AREA FROM SURFACE BASED INSTABILITY. GIVEN THE AMOUNT OF MOISTURE ADVECTING
IN HAVE CONTINUED THE MENTION OF HEAVY RAINS IN THE FORECAST. WIND
SHEAR PROFILES IN THE ATMOSPHERE INDICATE THAT BOTH SEVERE HAIL
AND WINDS ARE POSSIBLE WITH STORMS. STRONG INSTABILITY IN THE MID
LEVELS WILL ALSO EXIST...DRIVEN BY A COOLING ALOFT PROVIDED BY THE
SHORTWAVE. ANTICIPATE THAT SUPERCELL THUNDERSTORMS WILL FORM OVER
THE HIGHER TERRAIN OF WESTERN MONTANA AND MOVE EASTWARD ACROSS THE
CWA FEEDING OFF THE INSTABILITY IN THE MID LEVELS.

Yep-- thats the reason, all the oldtimers always said to not start haying until after the 4th of July-- get that crazy unstable June weather behind you...

That's a pretty active weather pattern, they got our chances pegged at 80% tonite, sure been a wet year so far,I would like to see some of the folks that are dry get rain,we have already got enough to make a bumper hay crop, tanks are all full and the creeks are running,I bet those peach farmers are watching this system,Hill country is full of peach farmers and there crop is just now coming in,they dont need high wind and hail..................good luck
PS tell your sister to email you a picture of that hereford, lets see what it looks like.
