| Quite a change from hay fields at the Hat, Elwapo. You weren't more than an hour from where I live, but I can't say as I've ever had any desire to go hike a mountain unless there is a fence over it that needs checking!

| That hayfield will just have to wait. Looks like you had a good time with your girl. She'll never forget, nor will you.

| Good for you, elwapo. Nothing is more important then spending time with family. The hay will still be there when you get home. I try telling my husband that, but it seems to fall on deaf ears. I'd love a few days away from here, and now after seeing your pictures, I want to take off for the mountains, too.

| The dress changed dramatically with the altitude, and the shorts were covered fairly quickly. We were some of the first on the mountain for the year and the difficulty was higher than the last time my wife and I did it in 1999. Unfortunately only two of the girls made the summit and my wife stayed with the others until we came back down to their level. It was a success for all though, with all of us pushing as hard as we could. It took about nine hours to go up and back. One of the best days of my life. I hope the girls will take this experience with them. My quote for the day was " it's just like Disneyland ........except it's real"
