I don't think our pea has pods, and don't know if it will.
Remember, this is an exceptional year for us moisture wise...normally the grass would be good, but not this tall or lush.
Funny thing, I bet our calves don't wean off as heavy as the past two years, because of more moisture, thus "washier" grass that isn't nearly as hard.
And, we are concerned about the fire season once all this nice grass dries down. I am glad we don't have much cheat...that stuff is like gasoline when it dries. There are some pretty heavy stands of cheat grass east of us on our major rez road...I am concerned about it catching fire. The only blessing is the tribe's prairie dog preservation project has built a great fire guard around it. I hope you get some more moisture, and less lightning.
