We are real short on hay this year...can hardly remember what normal is..lol Hope what we have had the last few years is not normal. Averaging about 1/3 to 1/2 ton per acre this year. Have cut a lot of acres but not many bales. If anyone has cow hay for sale I might be interested if I can afford the trucking.

After having one of our worst droughts last year, we are back to normal for this year. Many native hay meadows are cutting 4 to 5 times what they did last year.

Wondering what part of the Sandhills that is....... Say what? Say what? Sure isn't here.

I am in the southeastern part of the Sandhills....northern Garfield County and southern Holt County. I know you guys are hurting out further west. We have been getting around 1.5-2 ton/acre on a lot of meadows which is above normal for us. Alot of rain this spring, but I think what helped the most was not having a late freeze in May. I hope things turn around for you and you get some rain soon.
