Below are pictures of a totally handmade "Miller & Val Griess" double barreled shotgun with a 6mm bore rifle nestled between and under the two barrels. Called a "Drilling". Shot the photos on the tailgate of my truck...so they are not too good. The hand engraving is impeccable and outstanding. Haven't had time to do a chamber casting of the rifle barrel yet but it's some sort of rimmed rifle cartridge.

Best I can tell it was made between 1890 to 1900 in Munich Germany. The maker's name is engraved on the barrel.... Carl Backmund.

I really have no idea. Gotta have a chamber casting to see if I can make some cartridges to shoot in the rifle.

Have contacted some collectors/appraisers and they tell me that if a buyer can actually use the gun it will be worth loads more. It being a twenty gauge shotgun sure doesn't hurt it either. They tell me a 16 is hard to move.

Most of those guys like to show these guns off in the field.

I guess it's worth only what someone will give for it?

One thing for sure. It is a perfect piece of workmanship.
