since I do not believe in the AP poll, I will make my comments on the coaches poll.

1 Southern California over rated, all based on history. UCLA upsets them
2 LSU
3 Florida
4 Texas way too high. if there was a trophy for joke coaches, Mack ..............Brown would win every year
5 Michigan
6 West Virginia My Number 1 pick.
7 Wisconsin
8 Oklahoma gonna have to prove it, but Stoops can get a lot out of kids
9 Virginia Tech
10 Ohio State
11 Louisville
12 California Pac 10 dark horse !
13 Georgia
14 Auburn ought to be good after starting season with a loss
15 Tennessee
16 Rutgers top 10 team getting NO respect
17 UCLA
18 Penn State
19 Nebraska Callahan will coach them right out of some close games
20 Arkansas
21 Florida State
22 TCU
23 Boise State fast climber, coach has balls!
24 Hawaii play some decent teams, and then we will see what happens
25 Texas A&M I think they tank big this year....just think they are a .500 team

Hard to believe that Notre Dame is not in either the Coaches or AP poll, if only by name recognition alone?

Hope you're wrong about the Auburn game. We'll see. Laughing

If you feel so sure about it, you want the points?

Unfortunately, he's probably right on Nebraska. I've seen it happen 4 times already.

I don't follow much college football--not much more than the Playboy Cheerleader edition... Shocked Wink Laughing Laughing But my son does-- and has been saying for the last couple weeks that he picks WV as #1 this year....

the KSU / AU game has me a bit confused. it would not shock me to see a Cat win, or see us get blown out. really depends on how well the team is focused. opening the season with a team like Auburn is a bit nuts in my opinion.

I would love to see us get to the Big12 Title game though...... but of course that would mean NU did not go undefeated, as Katrina predicts! Smile

From the Omaha World Herald;

Josh Freeman didn’t complete a pass in 11-on-11 drills, nobody has emerged as a No. 1 kicker or left guard, a defensive tackle quit the team and Ron Prince made some assistant coaches run stadium stairs after a Saturday practice the head coach labeled “stormy.”

Other than that, everything’s swell in Manhattan.

The Wichita Eagle reported that false starts, dropped passes and Freeman’s struggles all led to Prince making the entire offense, some coaches included, run stadium steps. The practice was open to fans and media.

Also, Alphonso Moran, who had three tackles for loss last year against Nebraska, has quit.

As for a left guard? Prince told the Eagle: “We don’t have one.”

he is righting the ship. I have faith in Ron Prince. he will get it going in the right direction, those that bail out, were not there for the right reasons in the first place.

I think the Huskers are sitting right were we want to be...... No pressure and we just keep climbing with great wins... A husker nation uprising.....
I don't know jigs....... I might have to bail on this K state- Auburn game...
Even if Freeman, who wears women's underwear, which we know he does...
I don't know if the defense can stop auburn, or the offense can score...... This could be ugly........

Callahan has almost as many losses in 3 years as Solich did in 6 years?

Uprising?

No pressure?
