jigs, sandhusker or mike can you help?

I am a washington huskies fan closest college team to my home so we get to watch the games on tv...My question is how come they do not make the top 25 list at 2-1? Also can you guys tell me if you agree with these polls or at least are they close,and which of the 3 polls is more accurate in the rankings of college ball? .thank you ........

I"ll answer because Jigs, as a Kansas St. fan, has only limited experience with polls...... Laughing

My guess is because all those teams rated above them are either 2-1 or better. I think there is something like 117 teams, so there are probaby 40 or so teams that have one loss or less.

I think they're somewhat close, but it is too early in the season to draw much from them. One of the polls is made up of coaches (AP?), so I would think they would know better, but most polls generally don't vary a whole lot.

with my limited poll experiance, I would put more stock in the coaches poll. they seem to see a team, not tradition, or homer loyalty.

of course this is just an opinion based on theories and magical potions....... I rarely see a poll. Laughing


Sand Husker, when I finally go off the deep end, and climb that tower with my rifle...............

'Cause they really aren't all that good, and they don't have any chance of beating a top 10 team.

The only poll that matters is the poll at the end of the season.

Every poll up til then is pure speculation.

If you want your team to be included in a poll, pick a better team. Laughing

Uh, you may have heard of them...........SEVEN National Championships, Currently ranked #4, I am sure you will get to see them play when they win their 8th national championship this year.

Don't remember...but I do recall them beating KSU 31 to 21 in 04, 43 to 21 in 05....don't think they played KSU in 06, but I do think it was Baylor that beat KSU 17 to 3 that year and we beat Baylor 36 to 10 or something like that....so the results would have been the same, most likely.
