In just one year. Remember the election in 2006?

A little over one year ago:

1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;
2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;
3) The unemployment rate was 4.5%.

Since voting in a Democratic Congress in 2006 we have seen:

1) Consumer confidence plummet
2) The cost of regular gasoline soar to over $3.50 a gallon
3) Unemployment is up to 5% (a 10% increase)
4) American households have seen $2.3 trillion in equity value evaporate (stock and mutual fund losses)
5) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $1.2 trillion dollars
6) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure.

America voted for change in 2006, and we got it!

Remember: it's Congress that makes law, not the President. He has to work with what's handed to him.

It is amazing how many people that fall into the categories above think Bush is screwing them and Bill Clinton was the greatest President ever.
If Obama or Hillary is elected, they both say they will repeal the Bush tax cuts and a good portion of the people that fall into the categories above can't wait for it to happen. This is like the movie The Sting with Paul Newman; you scam somebody out of some money and they don't even know what happened.

it flat amazes me how blind and ignorant some people can be to the plain and simple truth. Dems tax and spend, take from the haves, give to the have nots. they think they are Robin Hood, but really are just hoods.

The US dollar has lost so much ground it is no longer the world currency.

Homes being taken away,because mom and dad cant meet the payments..

Sick children not get proper treatment not because mom and dad do not have money,they just do not have enough money....

Gas prices so high that goods can no longer be shipped by frieght trucks anymore...

Iraq still squeezes even more money from the coffers...

Many of you complain about mexicans,yet all the border changes have affected Canadians more then the mexican's..

I just can not believe how some here go out of their way to protect the decision that your leader has made..

Soapweed I will ask you this question...Do you think the overall job done by the Bush Admin.has been a job well done? Do you believe one man, after killing over 6000 people and draining trillions of dollars of a countries wealth and never being brought to justice is not only unbelievable but also not show incompatance leadership by the sherrif in charge of reeling in the perp?


I have people I care about who are Americans..If they lose a job and their medical goes too. How can they make it with doctor bill and perscriptions that their children need,yet prisoners can get free care?

.You can cast blame or not cast blame,but to say this presidency did noithing wrong is at the very least lacking responsiblity to see the whole picture...

Soapweed,You may be safe in your little corner of the world,but Mr Bush and his merry men have successfully stopped the real Dream for most Americans..It is no longer the pursuit of happiness,it is now the pursuit of survival.

The sad thing is,The war on terror was to make Americans sleep better at night....try telling that to the fathers and mothers lying awake all night simply worrying about thier own children,inside their own country...


PS yes Aplus I know I am Canadian.But there are Americans I care dearly about and they should be happy not living in fear each time a child sneezes...You may think our medical systems is bad,but i will tell you this..I would rather my country go broke keeping my countrymen healthy,then go broke spending money on and inside another country...
