The other day, the husband and I were down fishing at the river. He caught this big-ass jackfish, and it took the two of us to get him out of the water. I netted him so I could get the hook out. Well, he managed to spit the hook out himself, so I told the husband to let him go. He said no way, because he wanted to show a few people this fish he caught. He said nobody would believe us about how big it was unless they seen it themselves. So, as we were taking the fish to the truck in the net (yes, it took two of us to carry it), the damn thing thrashed, latched on to my hand, and bit me!!! I bled like a stuck pig for half to three quarters of an hour. I kept washing my hand off in the river till it finally quit. But everyone was telling me wash it off in warm salt water to stop the acid from spreading into my hand. I didn't know fish had acid in their mouths, but I guess they do. And the river isn't exactly clean water, either. So, I washed in the salt water, said some words that I can't repeat here because it burned something awful. Then I had to go get a tetanus shot the next day, and a bottle of antibiotics. The nurse that gave me the needle told me in the 40 years she's been giving tetanus shots, I was her first fish bite. Dogs, cats, rabbits, small animals, yes. Fish bites, no. She just about bust a gut laughing about it. So, I've come to the conclusion, I really am a putz! Also, now I'm one of a kind!

Of course this story is too good to keep quiet, so everybody around where you got the shot has heard it.
You're not a putz you are now a good story and a memory.

| We ate that monster already. Lopped off it's head (which was the size of a football), lopped 8 inches off it's tail, stuffed it, and threw it on the BBQ. There was nine of us there to eat it, and we didn't even eat half of it! There was enough to feed at least twenty people. I was quite surprised at how good it actually was, and the meat was very white. Almost like chicken. My husband is 5 feet, 9 inches tall, which is 69 inches. The fish was 41 inches long with a girth of 19 inches. Yeah, it probably should've been mounted and hung on a wall, but I just don't want to look at a fish on my wall every day. I told him from now on, every one we catch goes back into the water.
