Do you know anything about this?...Has the MSGA or Stockgrowers women checked this out?...I happen to know this letter writer- and her family and brother in law- and have been to several fundraisers at his house for Republican candidates-- and know them to be very strong Republicans...

Is it possible the Republicans would/could run a veggie for the Governor of Montana Say what?

Quote:
I have a concern to share with the public. I am Roy Brown's neighbor. When Roy moved next door to me he invited me and my husband over to get
acquainted. In the course of conversation, he told us that he and his wife are vegetarians.

At the time, I thought nothing of it, but as Roy now makes the rounds and campaigns for Governor, I have a concern. Would it not be a problem, in a state where cattle ranching is such a vital industry, to have a Governor who does not eat meat?

What caused me to think about this is that I told my brother-in-law, a rancher who usually votes Republican, about it. And he said that he could never vote for a vegetarian, because it's against his economic interest.

Sincerely,

Pat Etchart

The only one Obama worships is himself. How many other people do you know that have written two autobiographies before they've done anything? EGO.

Or whatever the Cowbelles are called now...I sent his campaign an e-mail- be interesting if they answer it.....

It probably ain't gonna matter because Brown doesn't stand a snowballs chance of winning against Schwietzer- but it made me curious....

This is the answer I got back from Browns campaign...They say it isn't true...
Like I said earlier tho- ain't going to matter, because he won't win- but it does present a rather questionable image of the Montana Repub party- which normally I wouldn't believe, but this year its in such a state of disarray that anything could be possible.....

Hey Hanta- I voted for a Repub- 85 year old Bob Kelleher Wink - because I refuse to vote for any of the grubsuckers already there..And Rehberg never did answer me about the $11,000+ in funds he got from a Cuban pro-embargo group after he switched his vote to oppose trade with Cuba- something every group in Montana has been promoting Rolling Eyes so I voted for the Libertarian...

Quote:
Thanks for your question regarding Roy Brown on our website. The claim is not true: Roy Brown is not and has never been a vegetarian. This is a rumor Democrats are spreading in an attempt to discredit Roy amongst Montana’s cattle producers, but it is completely without merit.

This rumor began with a neighbor of Roy’s who claimed Roy told them he was a vegetarian – Roy is quite clear that he’s never made such a claim.

When they first moved into their house in 1983 (and first met this neighbor), Roy and his family were caring for a dying family member who was put on a restricted diet by doctors due to her illness. This diet restricted meat and dairy. Roy and the rest of the family joined their sick family member in the diet when they ate meals together until she passed away. To the family, it seemed discourteous to sit down and eat a steak in front of a family member who was forced to cut that out of their diet by doctors. The family member passed away in 1984 – well over two decades ago – and Roy and his family have continued to eat meat and dairy as part of a healthy diet ever since.

I can assure you that Roy can and does eat meat, and has throughout his entire life. This baseless attack by democrats was recently reported in the Missoulian...

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me directly.

Best,

Chris

I sent an email out and got a phone call this morning. NOPE Roy Brown is NOT a vegan. This person has eaten steaks with him.

I think Roy Brown is honest, reliable and is working for the people. Schweitzer works for himself.
