Yesterday, I took my yearling colt to a local AQHA show... We were in the amatuer gelding class.

We walked to the judge, he steps aside and then you and your horse trot to the cone and make a left turn...

Then you line up for final judging and you then set your horse up as square on all fours as you can..

Setting up for the judge...

We won our class.


Then we came in to be judged aginst all the other champion geldings... We didn't win that one.. An older horse won, and he was the better horse.. We just need to be in better condition... It will come in time..
Anyways I had a ton of fun and met my goals.......

Take a picture now and then one in 30 days after you get him
on the feed we talked about. You are gonna really like the results.

will do that....... And he is feeling much better too.... He wouldn't leave my number alone....

Awsome job and gorgeous horse!! I am so jealous. I gave up showing when I got married, mostly because of lack of funds. I judged quite a few shows, but stopped when I had my family. I would love to do it again some day. Leanin' H can't understand why I love to ride in the arena Confused

Boy can I relate to that... Don't give up... I had to get my kids grown up and our place established... This is one of the things on my bucket list... I eat, sleep and breathe horses.. Always have and always will... I named my colt limit... Simply because there is no limit to the success... And I don't mean winning....
