I have to say that when bse was new and the topic was hot, I lost my cool with OT and his way of thinking. Seems to me I may have even got personal with my attacks. However, at no time did OT ever stoop to my level at that time and because of that I have the quite a bit of respect for him, and try to conduct my behaviour accordingly. I see him get trashed and bashed in here, but he stands up for what he believes in without dropping down and rolling in the mud like some others in here. Personally I think he gives the place a little balance that makes it a bit more tolerable than it would be otherwise. So, for what it's worth OT, I may not agree with you on many things but I'm glad you're here. Thanks.

While he and I may disagree over politics, he or anyone else doesn't deserve the treatment some of ya'll dish out! He has served his community as a judge and a sheriff. He has raised a fine family while running a beautiful ranch that he loves. And he (Not being a smart alec or disrespectful) is in his 70's which makes him my elder and therefore plenty worthy of my respect and patience. ATLEAST THE WAY I WAS TAUGHT!!!!! Disagree for hell sakes! But why be so caustic? So venomous? So childish? Aren't ya better than that? Or did I just answer my own question? Say what?

Hell, we all say stupid stuff when we get upset. PUT ME AT THE TOP OF THAT LIST WITH MY COMMENTS TO ELMO AND HAYMAKER! But then ya realize how assinine and dumb ya are, and ya make it right. I'd sure like to see more of that, (peaceful, rational, neighborly disagreement) and none of the other BS that slander's folks and ruins their day! I'll end my rant with this..... WOULD ANY OF YOU OUT THERE, FRIENDS OF MINE INCLUDED, WANT TO HAVE YOUR OWN FAMILY RUN DOWN AND TALKED ABOUT, THE WAY OLDTIMER AND HIS FAMILY HAVE BEEN? By the way I meant to ask the other day that 280 lb boy you married what time around was this. Number 2 3 or 4. You might want to stay on the side lines if you want this one to last.

In my post defending Oldtimer I wondered if you'd like others to call your family out on the carpet the way folks, including YOU, have done. And I mentioned that I would lose a lot of respect for folks who would defend attacking a man's family. Well I need to correct that pig farmer. It would be impossible for me to respect you any less than I do right now. That's not a shot at anyone but YOU! As a life long Republican and a staunch conservative I am ashamed to even brush shoulders with somebody as un-Christian and heartless as yourself. You can't debate at all. You just cheap shot and sucker punch and slander. If you are not pretty dang embarrased then the only other option is you must not be very bright! Nice Rant but it did nothing to change my position. ot is a snake in the grass by his own admission as well as many posts of late.

When he redeems himself by apologizing and stops his personal attacks then and only then will I HAVE A DIFFERENT opinion of the blatant old wind bag. Laughing
