| Was an awesome game, no counseling necessary though. We will just move on to the next game. I would have pulled Brodeur after the first. It might have been those 30 year old Sweaters the US were wearing.

Don't get the NHL on TV much down here except at playoff time. I like watching hockey, though, so I eat it up when the Olympics are on.
Was really into the match last night. Looked like the Canadians were the better team overall, but the Americans looked a little faster. Goaltending definitely was the difference. Miller was outstanding and Brodeur let a couple through that he normally wouldn't.
Talent is one thing, but you just never know how a team is gonna mesh nowadays, since the teams are basically thrown together a week or so before the Olympics. Don't know about the others, but back when the U.S. team were amateurs they'd have tryouts the summer before the Olympics. Then they'd play 60 or so exibitions in the U.S. and Europe. Playing that many games together under the same coach really helped.
Let's not forget that the Canadians can still take the gold if they win out. Be fun to see them and USA match up again in the gold medal game.
Also thought it was ironic that the guy that scored the empty net goal at the end plays for Vancouver in the NFL.
