There was some serious yelling going on at our house when they tied it, went to feed the lot and came back just in time to see the replay of Crosby scoring the winning goal...always proud to be Canadian but especially today!!

I missed the game live was on the road coaching Emily's PeeWee team-we found out that the U'S tied it justas we got on the bus to go home. Then it erupted when the text came in that we won. I( watched it late last night-probably one of the greatest games of all time between the two greatest countries on earth. It's no consolation for the U'S right now but they were a great young team. It amazeedme the composure of both countries young guns-for Crosby to come through after carrying the expectations of an entire country on his back is amazing-you don't script it any bettrer than that. When I watched Marleau get his medal I thought of the journey he took to the medal-the frozen feet in the small town rinks,the bus rides all the ups and downs of all the athletes. On the way home we passed a groiup of kids playing road hockey and I can just bet every time there was a goal it was Crosby from Iginla-my generatioon it was HENDERSON SCORES!!! I watched more Olympics than ever before-cancer does have some benefits-I've never been prouder to be a Canadian-yeah I teared up during the anthem-for Mike Babcockto rally the team after that crushing U'S second goal speaks volumes. A great game in the world's greatest sport.
