They're really a Christmas-time dish down here, but still good when prepared during the rest of the year!!!! Sort of a Venezuelan version of a tamale though not the same flavor at all.

Are they wrapped in banana leaves?

Haha that first pictures kinda looked like some kinda chocolate desert with white icing drizzled on it.....then the other pic loaded...and Shocked not what I was expecting.

I love good tamales....only a few can make really good ones.

Oh wow...I googled a recipe. NOT somethin I'd wanna attempt for supper one night. The list of ingredients is forever long.....lol
