Here's a picture of my boy in NE last August.

Here's what I got May 1, 2010 when I got him home to CO. He didn't winter so good Confused

After talking with FH I tried the Progressive Nutrition and I have to say it works pretty good... Plus he got 5 de-wormings Wink . This is about 15 days into feeding PN.

Thank you FH for answering all my silly questions!... He sure likes the life of eating all the time.

wow.... Lookin good there.... I can't wait to see him in 6 months.. I to have mine on PN and can see a big differance in his disposition and he has put on the weight... Went to the 5 day run in Rapid and Limit did well in the halter... He sat up well for four halter classes. Two perfect and could almost do a showmanship class... He did one day, but couldn't contain himself and took the lead strap in his mouth.. I guess he wanted to see me do 270 spin instead of him... Little poo... I will get pictures...
He has quit walking the fence and I can feed alfalfla and not get that ganted up look. Very Happy Thanks fasters......... I even got compliments from the big halter guys... Although they are pretty nice guys anyways...

How nice it was to log on and find this!!!!!
Thank you both so much. It's fun being able to help.
(And for anyone that might think so, I didn't make a dollar
on these gals buying the Progressive Nutrition, as they
are out of my area.) The whole thing was, you both were
willing to give it a try!!

You got compliments from the big halter guys, katrina?
WOOOOO HOOOOOO way to go!!! That Limit is gorgeous anyway,
he just needed a little edge...and not the hot kind... Wink
It is amazing how that product makes them be able to focus
because they don't have acid gut. I can hardly wait to see
new pictures of Limit.

Rerun, you give your colt a couple more months and he'll
be right where you want him. He looks soooooo much better.

And again, thank you both. This made my day!!!!!!!

When I made the first post, I did feel like I was doing a PN ad of some sort, buts it's totally not... Sorry FH wish I was in your area so you could have made a buck or two off me Wink

Katrina I'd love to see updated pics of Limit too!

Rerun--It's not about money. It's about helping the horses. That is my reward and it's all I need. People like you and katrina make it fun.
There has been a remark made that I use this forum to make money and that's just not so. I wanted to head that off before it was an issue.

Oh, Katrina. Limit looks AWESOME. I can see why the big boys remarked on him at the show. He looks stunning. And to have him stay so nice is frosting on the cake. There is no starch in that feed, therefore no acid gut which can cause horses to act hot. And the muscle he has put on...WOW.
And the cut on his cheek is so healed up nicely. What a good deal that is.
He's just three years old, right?

WOOO HOOOOOOO, good for you both.

Rerun,

I think your colt has a really nice front end... Good shoulder set. And in time I also think the back end will catch up... Wink He's losing that pot-belly look and really filling out nicely... He's going to be worth some dinero someday... Mark my words.....

Funny thing I have an old mare that looked like hell in may and is fat as a Tick now all I did was turn her out on green grass.Cost was about $20 for 2 months grass. And no labor what so ever.

Good for you. That can sure happen. In fact, it happens all the time.
Some horses need a little help, tho. And Katrina has a show horse here.
So, not the same thing. But thanks for your input.

Thanks for the kind words Katrina!... Limit sure is a nice horse! Very handsome.

It's rough to be a horse in the city... All of the land developers are taking over and where the horse's used to graze green grass years ago, are now 500K+ houses, a High School and a Fire Department. Sometimes hay just isn't enough for them... The 20 bucks, 2 month plan would be a nice option. I'll keep my eye out for that deal around my parts Wink
