Dang Bull Again

Ran the herd into a stubble field to pull the bulls. The Churchill bull and heifer bull were fighting so I made a wide circle around them and went to pushing the pairs through the gate. They followed the cows.
Several older cows went into the corral and the bulls followed them and we shut them in.
Got the 3 bulls and a few cows together in a pen. Went to cutting the cows out. The bulls had gone behind the squeeze chute so I was pushing the cows out.
Standing near our calf table I caught some movement out of the corner of my right eye, turned and looked, here comes that bull with his head down and picking up the pace.
I jumped behind the calf table and climbed up the corral fence. Yelled at hubby to close the gate. He slammed the gate into the bulls head as he tried to get him too.
Told him that bull better be on the trailer and out of here on Monday.


Hey Ace, what do you have in the way of bulls? Gonna need a new one.

Must be those dang herefords

We worked bulls on Tuesday- and while I was waiting for the son to get the sorting gates set I felt something rub against my arm-it was the old Bannon of Wye bull- that stood at the gate beside me as long as I was scratching his head- and when I opened the gate he led the others out right into the right corral....Sure made sorting a lot easier..

I agree with you-- get rid of that bull...Cull prices are excellent- and too many good ones to take a chance.....

kill bulls are bringing some bucks right now - probably as good as it has maybe ever been... i guess if u have to get rid of one now would be as good as any time. i just got home from chinook - i took one of the older bulls to town... almost teared up a little cause if they weren't worth what they are i probably would have kept him.

looks like i got the steer calves contracgtrd the other day too. 1.25 @ 550lbs for 11/1. the guy wants me to quote him a per head cost to winter them till 4/1... any suggestions?

How about $2.00 a head per day? I think you said once you charged $3.00 a day to keep a bull.

How about some pics of any bulls you got available?
Side, head on and rear photos would be great.

I just got off the Missouri River today.
It poured on us on Monday and got hit with a couple of thunderstorms on Wednesday.
