Try not to come on Wednesday next week as we would not be able to cross paths. You could write a book when you get home called "Whirl Wind Holiday Adventure".

If the Reindeer Sausage was good, Likely the sausagemaker could make good sausage out of any species. i say that nt to knock Reindeer. The true special part was the sausage maker and I say it to focus compliments on him.

My guess is he has good recipe and skill at making it out of leaner Meats. Perhaps he is adept at doing it out of other levels of fat as well. But you mentioned something that should be very lean.

Hats off to the sausage maker. Do you ave the name of the shop?

Santa's Sausage Shop...NOT!!!!!!!!!!!! Wink

That one place was at Tok and I'll try to get the name. I wanted to anyway. And the other has been right here...the fella that we are visiting...oh, I guess it was made from Moose, but it was delicious. Didn't need any salt or pepper, even. Honestly, I've never cared too much for wild meat--had to eat too much if it when we were young and poorer--but this moose meat is delicious.

Per, we won't be there on Wednesday. While we don't have a set schedule, we won't leave here until Wednesday or later.

Mr. FH was on an airboat most of the day yesterday setting up a hunting camp. He had a great day. He'd never been on one before. What an adventure we are having. Home will be nice, too, tho. Very Happy

They just stopped by to tell us Mr. FH was going on a plane ride...before breakfast even... Very Happy

We certainly will try to do that. I think we will be here til at least Thursday of next week and we are hoping to go around by Dawson City on our way home. I'll keep in touch and thank you.

The trees are turning colors here now. They are so golden they almost glow in the dark. The lakes are gorgeous, so still it is like looking in a mirror.

Were at supper with some folks tonight and it was most interesting to listen to them talk about things like their house unknowingly was built on a wildlife trail and bears kept coming by. Their dogs finally treed some bears, or one bear-- and they had to shoot one because of the danger to their kids...I have never in my life listened to happenings such as they were talking about. It certainly is a different life up here.

Two of the young men are firefighters, have served in Iraq, and they
cut wood and sell it in the wintertime. The parents were missionaries
and have travelled the world. It was a very
interesting time to say the least.

Mr. FH visited a fishwheel, which, the way I understand it, was built by
a Russian and was designed for catching enough fish to get families through the winter. It still is in use today. He thought it was very interesting and could see how it would be necessary. I didn't go, and
I wish I had.

So many different things about this country. I'm glad we are getting to
find out about it on this level.

We met a very interesting lady tonight who makes beautiful jewelry.
She is the sister of the groom who is getting married tomorrow.
I'll post the link to her website for the gals here who like different
jewelry that is handmade. She also makes some beautiful handbags.
