| I am a student doing a play, and the character is supposed to be "applying resin to a bucking strap." Can anyone tell me where exactly on the bucking strap one would be applying resin, and how they would do it? Also, would one normally have the resin in some sort of bag, or is there some sort of container it is carried in?

There will be no tape or any other adhesive material or substance other than dry resin used on rigging or on rider’s glove, which will be plain glove with no flaps, rolls, wedges, welds or gimmicks. In my day we had a used Tobacco Bag we kept crust resin in
