You usually hear about the beauty of western Montana- but little about that of eastern Montana..

I spent a big share of this weekend at the Missouri River home of a local contractor- whose house and riverfront locale would match any western mountain mansion or California beach home...
Grandma didn't get any good pictures of the house or up the river view (like a woman she was concentrating on all the wedding stuff- while I was wanting to jump in the boat and go fishing)..

But here are a couple of pictures that show some of the yard/river view....

I'm sure if the contractor hadn't built the house himself- it would have cost over a million $ to build- plus about 80K for the lot....

About a 1/4 mile up river there is a big log style house and riverfront lot for sale for $580,000-- and I was told the owners had over $800,000 in it but are having to move to Missoula so must sell...

That is some pretty nice scenery for sure OT. On a side note, judging by the size of that young man, I can't help but think you may be taking your life in your hands placing your hand on the new brides backside like that Shocked Razz Laughing

I was looking thru some of Grandmas rehearsal pictures this morning- and found a few better pictures of the beautiful area.

part of the house and guesthouse:

Looking up the river toward the town of Fort Peck on the hill- and the fishing boat ready to go..

If you look down at her feet in front of her- you will see a little girl dressed in white (playing in the grass)...She was the flower girl and the gal in blue was there to walk her down the aisle....
