We were up to check on the one group of cows yesterday, on the way to a funeral. Here are a bunch of photos I took.

All these calves are sired by our Hereford bull
101, Hereford x RA, 8 year old


Her steer calf. Born Feb 24, he's the oldest steer calf.


165 calf, Dam RA. Born Apr 6.


59, Hereford, 7 year old.


Her steer calf, the second oldest steer. Born Mar 2.(this is the calf we were talking about in another thread)


93, RA 8 year old, and her heifer calf. Born Mar 10


143, GVx SS, 3 year old, and her heifer calf. Born Mar 2


124, Shorthorn, 3 year old and her steer calf. Born Mar 25


32 calf, Dam RA x GV, born Mar 7


104, RA x HH 8 year old and her steer calf. Born Mar 14


129, Shorthorn, 8 year old.


And her steer calf, born Mar 17


40, SS x AN, 6 year old and her steer calf, born Mar 8.


136 calf, Dam SS x RA. Born Mar 27


217 calf, Dam HH x RA. Born Mar 8


Some other cows and calves.
58, 2 year old Hereford. RA sired heifer calf born Mar 9. Dam is #59 cow above.


52, SS x BA, 6 year old.


And her Angus sired calf.


118 calf, out of a 2 year old dam. RA x HH dam, RA sire. Born Mar 18


155, SS x AN, 3 year old.


107 calf, dam SS x AN, Sire RA. Born Mar 3


148 HH x RA, 3 year old.


141, SS x AN, out of #40. 2 year old.


17, Shorthorn, 4 year old.

18W Shorthorn yearling bull. Still out with the cows.

Thanks for sharing Randi. You've got some soggy calves there. Pastures look to be holding well.

Awesome looking calves. Makes you wonder why fewer ranchers are using heterosis all the time.

No doubt that SH, Angus and Hereford make a nice cross. I kind of have a soft spot for SH for some reason. Thanks for the pics RL.

Great looking cattle, randiliana. They are in just right condition. My two favorite calves, judging by the pictures, are #165's red baldy steer and the black steer calf out of your #52 cow. Thanks for the photos.
