Thanks very much, to all of you, for your very kind words.

Two of the fillies in the picture will probably be shown in halter next spring: the sorrel in with the strip will show in the two year old class. We sold one of the gray fillies in the pictures, Roses N Bubbles, and I think the guy who bought her will show her next year in two year old fillies, as well.

The bay colt is a July baby (from this year), so he won't be competitive in the halter arena at least until he's two or three years old and gets a chance to catch up physically with the January and February babies. But we're actually thinking of fitting him as if we were going to show him, then taking him to the stock show in the spring with a price tag hanging on his neck. He's got the "look at me" attitude for being a show horse, and the makings to be a big, stout using type horse (or stallion prospect). He's the kind you want to take to sell, since he has the type of presence that gets some attention.

Hope all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Very Happy

FH, this sorrel mare is the dam of the bay stud colt... we bred and raised her on the ranch.

Found another picture for Frisco and the rest of you, with three more of our mares. This picture is a couple of years old, and we've since lost the big palomino mare (though we kept a daughter of hers, the bay filly in the first photos I posted yesterday; the filly is by a nice son of Corona Cartel, the race horse). The paint mare is my daughter's (who turns eight years old in a couple of weeks). They've been great friends since before my daughter could walk, and that little mare -- who will do a full day's work at a pretty good clip when ridden by an adult -- has been as gentle, forgiving and mellow as my daughter has needed as she's gone from "can barely sit in the saddle" to (more recently) "how fast can we go?"

Have a great Thanksgiving.

Sorry, folks, my 8 year old daughter got on here. She's alot smarter than I am, evidently. And, she loves her pony, Sam.

Chimenea,
I really like your horses. I like their hind ends. Our summer pasture is really rough country and I have wore out 2 horses up there. I've been getting more and more convinced that a stout back end is a must.

Haymaker, I have been watching your progress with your gray horse and I enjoy it. I like your horse, too, but I ride a little bigger horse than the POA, although he is a tough little bugger.
