Well it just keeps getting better! An all-weather, 8 hoof drive, choring vehicle! Has you installed a heater yet or are you still relying on hot bricks wrapped in a blanket to keep your feet warm?Smile

But I don't know what man in his right mind would give a woman a whip for Christmas or any other occasion . . . Wink

We haven't figured out the heater Confused , so I'm thinking a few pairs of feet and hand warmers might have to be added to my Santa lists just in case. Christmas Wink

As far as the whip. If I wasn't so nice Eyes Nod do you think my father in law would give me a whip? But don't worry the whip is not for the ponies. It is for a certain someone (who will remain nameless) that thinks using an airhorn to get ponies going is funny Twisted Evil Wink .

Wow, what a great present. Love it !!! Very Happy

You both are so very talented with your beautiful art work and craftsmanship.

Speaking of art work
I was asked by our vet if I would do a painting for her husband's birthday. She wanted a painting of his favorite dog that is getting up in years. She was down the other day to get it as his birthday was today.

She loved it and said it looked just like the dog. I just hope he likes it as well. Neutral

They'll be harnessing themselves before you know it-sweaty harness=broke horses. That is just a nice sized team to go cut firewood with if you had more trees. If life gets boring you can build yourself a dogbox and get some coyote hounds.

The ponies had quite a day. The morning started with my brother in law helping me do some fine adjusting on the harnesses. When I took him for a ride yesterday he thought the neck yoke was riding a bit low so he came out this morning and we adjusted the snaps to make it ride a couple inches higher.
Then BMR and I cleaned the barn with Betty using the tobaggan.

After lunch Lane came out and we hooked up both ponies to the sleigh and put mineral out after a nice little ride first of course. When we finished with that Lane decided to try something different with them before putting them away.

We pulled two trees up for his sister and her husband to cut up and put in their basement for fire wood. Then it was back to the barn for treats. I have to go back out and un-blanket them as they worked up a sweat with all that hard work. All in all it was a pretty fun day, but I'm sure they are glad Lane is only here every once in awhile as he makes them work harder than I do. Wink

Congrats on seeing all your hard work come through to fruition. Those two good looking horses have now become a good looking team under your guidance. Heck of a job on that painting as well.
