Looking to find a great dude ranch...in august of '11 traveled to Wyoming to the Gro Ventre River Ranch near Jackson...had a great time....riding horses for 6 days in the Tetons...anybody who live in that area should get down on their knees every day and give thanks...
Want to go again this summer, or fall, any ideas as to the best place to go!! Thanks

Here's a good website that shows all of the accommodations and activities of different Montana Dude Ranchers. Tip, the further East in the state, the more genuine the experience it will be.

We (4 Scots, I've worked cattle in Alberta and Venezuela and the others ride English dressage and showjumping) had a great time at McGinnis Meadows in Montana a couple of years ago http://www.mmgranch.net/. We worked cattle most days and the people there were happy to play about comparing English and Western ways of riding.
Also good food, good company and good horses.

my neighbors have accommodations for 6 to 8 guests, it's not a dude ranch but they take their guests out working cattle. http://www.thenewhavenranch.com is their website, beautiful (!) landscape, very interesting riding (no head to tail). Guests are expected to have some riding experience, no (young) kids, no beginners. Can really recommend, nice people, too Smile
