Just in case you weren't feeling too old today, this will certainly change things..

The people who are starting college this fall across the nation were born in 1987.

They are too young to remember the first space shuttle blowing up on liftoff.

Their lifetime has always included AIDS.

Bottle caps have always been screw off and plastic.

The CD was introduced the year they were born.

They have always had an answering machine.

They have always had cable.

They cannot fathom not having a remote control.

Jay Leno has always been on the Tonight Show.

Popcorn has always been cooked in the microwave.

They never took a swim and thought about Jaws.

They can't imagine what hard contact lenses are.

They don't know who Mork was or where he was from.

They never heard: "Where's the Beef?", "I'd walk a mile for a Camel", or "de plane, Boss, de plane".

They do not care who shot J. R. and have no idea who J. R. even is.

McDonald's never came in Styrofoam containers.

They don't have a clue how to use a typewriter.

Do you feel old yet? Pass this on to the other old fogies on your list. Notice the larger type, that's for those of you who have trouble reading...

Now I really feel old........uugggggg well I can say I was only 12 in 75 and that wasnt till Aug sooooooooo LOL

Heck, many kids today probably don't know how to
define "cook".
That and the fact that I don't own a cell phone really
have separated me from this new generation.

We were talking with a young gal with financial problems.
Turns out she doesn't cook, eats out all the time.
And hadn't calculated the financial drain!! Rolling Eyes

She dismissed it with, "Well, I just don't plan ahead
enough to buy the food, and then there's remembering
to thaw it out... Rolling Eyes

You don't have to be a teenager in '75 to know about all those things. Growing up where and like I did thinks were simple. Didn't have a microwave till after I was in highschool and I was the dishwasher.

This list may just be reflective of a simpler life rather than one 30 years ago.

Good Lord, are you sure Jay Leno has been on that long Say what?

I read your post about your 66 Impala when you were in college. My first new car was a 66 Impala and I was just thinking , the new pick up I bought in '04 cost as much as 11.3 of those Impalas.

Who use to put peanuts in there Coka Cola... And it was in a glass bottle?????

yup!didn't realize i was gettin old.came in house one time kids playin with TV,tryin to get color,movie was an old black and white!and don't think my kids know a tv CAN be turned on and off manually!

Funny how you would post this today, here is a picture of my brothers 50th birthday party on Saturday night. It was a dress in 1974 style thing, mom said some of the younger people weren't sure if they should be there or not.
Willie Nelson got to meet Paul Revere, I'm not sure about the raiders, but I think that is what happened to that truck load of silverbullets that cowboyup was looking for Wink
