Not to put the Dems down badly, but I think they've forgotten the power of prayer. If they love our Country as much as we (Republicans) do, why don't they pray for our President rather than trash anything he ever did in his life.

Good question. For some sad reason it doesn't seem to be IN them to do that.

I think they are fearful...and I don't think any of them have ever STOOD for something like President Bush has. They are so wishy-washy as a party. And besides that, they are still mad he won the election...or elections...

Not trying to be disrespectful, but for the life of me I can't understand the general tendancy for you Americans to place your leader on a pedestal.
Why do you take offence when he is criticized? Isn't that the whole point of the democracy of which he is the leader? If anyone in the whole country should be available to criticism should it not be the leader himself?
In my country we hold our leader to task. Whether we voted for him or not, we are not afraid to question his decisions publicly and criticize him openly. ESPECIALLY if I voted for him and don't agree with him. After all, that's democracy isn't it?

Silver, I think many are afraid to say anything against any of the presidents policy decisions, as they know that it will be construed as being against him. There are already enough who are cussing him, we don't need any more. Kind of like sticking up for your horse, even if he has crooked legs and a big head.

My problem with our political system, is that I always have to vote AGAINST someone, instead of FOR someone. I voted for GW both times as I couldn't see how I could stand to have the liberals attacking my part of the country, any longer with all of their eco terrorist type of governing, and still survive and/or stay in business. When Clinton was the pres., he took millions of acers(sp) of the west and set them aside to where we couldn't run cattle on them, log on them or do much of anything with them, except watch them get overgrown with weeds and too many trees. This went on for so long, that now we are in a real mess and it is costing us sooo much to stop wildfires and if we let them burn, they are ruining the ground. These kind of "out of touch" policies had about ruined the west. I couldn't vote for someone who talked as if they would keep these policies in effect.

GW has done some things that I disagree with, but he was the lesser of two evils, to me.

We have a governor now, who because of what he has done, has caused me to change my political affiliation. He seems to me to be arrogant and an idiot, in my opinion, so I changed parties and will gladly vote agaisnt him, the first chance I get. And I sure ain't afraid to speak out against him! Much to my consevative friends chagrin!

And all in all, I guess GW hasn't done us as much harm as he's done us good, IMHO. I can't believe we could have someone in the Whitehouse who I would agree with all the time, anymore than I can agree with everything I read about ranching, on here.

The point is: He is our president, we should pray to help him make the right decesions. In my opinion too many just stand by and hope he makes so many mistakes that their party will come out looking better.
It works both ways, I was not a Clinton supporter, but did all the attacks on him help our country in any way? I still believe that Monica was planted in the White House and that Linda was a stooge. Politics before country.

Plus the fact that Dem's are mostly obstructionnists. They holler and make a lot of noise, but never come up with workable solutions. If there weren't issues, they would have nothing to stand on, no platform. They are not 'problem solvers'.
