| I was one waiting for this to go away, but read article today saying the dude got a best director award?Figured it out finally -he is from a far away place.Ang Lee has never pulled a calf in the middle of night in a snow storm, took it into house(against wifes agreement). It is all about the hype and money. Now I fell into it,but this is my final word on it.I sat in a bush camp for 3 days with a good buddy of mine a few yrs back, his nephew and freind came to visit and stay.Never had a problem with him until he "said" My little 10 month old girl is going to grow up to be a h- -r.Still never punched him-BUT who has the problem.

| I had a neighbor get a bit mouthy the night my first daughter was born-the gist of it was his boys wouldn't have far to travel. my reply-"I held my first born child in my arms right after she was born-looked in her eyes and told her don't you go near those @#%^&** Bohunks." Needless to say the party was over for that neighbor.

WHere was he from? How did he come to a decision based on talking to you? hmmmmmmmm people
I dont understand how anyone can make a decision about a persons life just on meeting them or meeting thier parents. You never can tell what is in a persons heart and what amount of drive they have.
Well I am sure you and your wife have given higher standards that your daughter will live up to.

What's directing a movie got to do with pulling a calf???
And...it was a MOVIE!! Really, all this hype against it has made it more popular than ever. I haven't seen it yet---we don't have the luxury of a movie theatre close by...but I plan to at the first opportunity.
Why??/ I wanna see what all the uproar is about!!

I have said many times,Ranching may not be the most profitable work a man could do,but it is the most honorable, for some sleaze bag to insinuate other wise to make a dollar is unacceptable,I would'nt watch it if they paid me..............good luck
