We have heard the same about Ian Tyson, and from more than one person. Like Jersey Lilly said, when you hear it time and time again, there usually is something to what is being said.

We have tapes of him from years ago and really liked them. They don't get played much anymore because my husband, especially, can't stand agrrogance in anyone. Ever.

Do you think he was like that due to the way the BSE border problems were handled?

I hadn't even heard of BSE when I first heard he was a jerk.

Some people don't need an excuse...they just ARE.

Yes he was a jerk long before the BSE.First time we saw him was at a Ivan Daines country music pic nic,22 years ago that was my first taste of his personality and let me tell you it wasn't good...too bad because his music sure doesn't reflect it.
