Congratulations, Ty!. There are few things that beat the big rush of getting that first one!
NR, I'll bet the old man was about as excited as the son, maybe? That's the way it is around here, anyway. I didn't go bear hunting with my boys, but the stories they come home with are always supremely interesting and when Jeremy came home with his first bear it was pretty cool. Used a .270BLR. Bear poked his head up out of the oats and lights out.
Do you eat any bear meat? It's kinda different, not my favourite. Makes O.K. sausage.

| YumYum-had bear backstrap fried up with lemon pepper for breakfast -tasty stuff-the hindquarters are going into sausage-those wild fed bears are good stuff. The girls like it so must be good.

| I'd pop either one if I had the tag in my pocket. lol. You said the other day that there was a season for them near me-which zone? I have an open weekend, a clean rifle, and I got shells to spare. lol. And I get my wages so thatd cover the tag. lol. Dad cant make it ot the PBR so I'm gonna get a few buddies together and go pop soem 'yotes, or if Im lucky nuff a bear. lol.
