I'm trying to find out the meaning of a word, I think it's French. Least that's what comes up when I do a search on it. The word is "cholotte"
any of you french speakin canadians know what it means? If so....I sure would like to know.

As far as I can tell there is a Hotel in France that's named La Cholotte........

Maybe I should ask Haymaker LOL he's been takin french lessons.

It's the name of my horse. On his papers that is. But not what I call him. I named him Jasper. Thought it was an Indian word....just sounds like it is to me, but can't find anything online sayin that it is Indian, only thing that comes up is a hotel in France , La Cholotte. I was just wondering what it meant.

Lily, there are so many registered horses that you start putting names on the papers together and inventing new words. I would say it means nothing.

YEAH, BUT...

we don't know that til we see the pedigree and/or the name.

Many times there is a connection and we can tell if it means the word "Grand", which it very well might.

Ok I'm gonna see if I can do this where it looks like they do on the papers.

...................................................sire - Q's Whoa Down

..........................sire - Download

...................................................dam - Zippo Shirley
Cholotte'
(Jasper)
...................................................sire - EZEE Request

...........................dam - EZEE Nugget

...................................................dam- High Heels Nugget

This is all I have, don't have anything further back than that, since I didnt see any point n payin another $100 for papers on a gelding that I bought thru the salebarn for $375.00.

If this horse is registered with the AQHA chances are it might be just a typo.
