If you could have oen thing, anything at all, what would it be?

I would get my Grandpa back. He dies from Lung cancer just a little over a year ago, and it's killing me for my little sister not to have known what a great man her grandpa was. All I have for her to remember him by is memories and stories...

My other one would be to fit in. My family looks a little down at me cause I listwen to most music-except MOST rap, and anti rleigion or bands the promote viloence drugs, etc., and in town I am really loked down upon cause Im a clean non druggie cowboy that listens to country music and wont do what everyone esle does.

Im curious to hear yours.

ACS---tough question!! only ONE thing...hmmmmmmm

probably to have my mom around for one more day!! She passed on 4 weeks before my youngest was born and i did not realize until then just how very much I missed her!! We talked each day on the phone and our personalities were eerily alike and with her gone (and the day moved a state away), things have gotten pretty painfully lonely at times!!

I liked Ranchwifes answer,it reminds me of that song"One more day".But as much as I miss my parents and would love to see them again, that can't be my one thing, mine would be that my children live happy lives with people they love and that love them back!

I would like to have met my grandpa, he died in Jan. and then I was born in Nov.

also, we just lost grandma, and I would like to be able for my mom to have seen her one last time before she left us.

she lived 35 years alone after he died, but they really got something started while they were together !!!
those two had 11 kids, 32 grandkids, 63 great grand kids and 5 great greatgrand kids !!

I would have it so our grandson was not the product of a broken home.
It is so hard on the kids when a divorce happens. They never ever again get to spend holidays with both parents. They have to fit into 2 different households, often being the 'odd man out.' He is an only child to boot. Brothers and sisters might help some.

So many things happen that I never thought about before it happened to our grandson. He seems to deal with it okay, but he has some problems I don't think he would have if his parents were together.

And the sad thing is, it happens to too many kids too much of the time.

Your post made me think about one of Mr Lilly's cousins. She has a daughter 13 years old from a previous marriage. And is married again with a son that's 6 years old. She herself comes from a home where mom and dad didn't stay married. BUT......I hafta say I admire them for what they do at holidays and birthday times. The whole family gets together, Her ex (the girls dad) his parents, Her dad and stepmom, along with her real mom, and present husband. And they all get along. They didnt at the very beginning, and seen what it was like for the lil girl to hafta deal with all the hard feelings. They all set down at the kitchen table one day and had a heart to heart, and simply decided it's not about them, it's about the kids, and that they would do whatever they could to make holidays, and birthdays what they should be. Too bad all parent's don't work that hard at making special days special.

Thanks for posting that Lilly. Those are mature people who really understand it isn't about them.

Our grandson tried to tell his dad he didn't want him to bring a woman over from the UK and get married, but all his dad did was tell him he deserved some happiness, that he kept a roof over the kids head and that his mother put him up to saying that. It took a lot for our grandson to say anything in the first place. He knew his dad was going to get mad, so after he said it he laid down in the back seat of the car with a blanket over his head.

Makes me sick!!!

The one thing I want can't be spoken about. I'm afraid if I speak of it, I'll jinx myself and it won't happen. But I REALLY want it! And just so you don't think I'm wanting something material, I'm not. What I want can't be seen, touched, smelled, heard, or tasted.
