brush hogging\hunting

i guess i'll try story telling.this is a true story.



a neighbor was mowing a feedlot,with a "m" farmall and a brush cutter.i remember it being in the middle of summer and the cover was thick and dence and the mowing was slow.
there was lots of wildlife including rabbits that would occasionally run out,,it seems it was about the 4th of july and very hot and muggy day.

the neighbor had a sawed off shotgun,and was having some fun popping the rabbits as they came into the open.he was standing up as he fired his last shot then replaced the sawed off 12 gauge UNDER the spring loaded seat of his "M" farmall tractor.

when the poor guy sat back down,the barrel was pointing up thru the seat and the concussion caused the 12 gauge shot gun to go off.he was lucky enough to have one of those padded cushons on his metal seat.what he showed me next was a miracle.

as he had buckshot in the bill of his cap,the corners of his shirt tail,and the crotch of his jeans.that had come thru the seat of the tractor!!the only thing that had saved him from losing anything personnel was the metal seat and its cushon.he had just arrived back from the drs office as i pulled in his driveway.

NO stiches and a full recovery.but was a good laugh to know the outcome of the neighbor who was hunting rabbits and had the best seat on the 4th of july fireworks.
