The cheapest way I found to winter cows is grazing grain residues. Most grain farmers around here don't want cows on their place so I have to do it myself.

Getting grain cleaned at our local farmer owned plant. This guy has worked in feed mills and seed plants all his life and puts up hay in the summer.

Outside axle scale for the trucks that don't fit on the indoor one.

Indoor beam scale. A little old fashioned and still in pounds just the way some of us like it. All transactions here are also still charged out using price per bushel. Metric not allowed.

Inside is rather noisy with the truck and cleaning equipment running. Very clean though, they keep the place spotless.
